Accurate Step Counter with Cal

Community rules

Effective date: 10 October 2026

Together (friends, clubs, races, duels, leagues, challenges and leaderboards) is for walking with other people and cheering each other on. You accept these rules when you choose a nickname. You must be at least 13 to join.

The rules

  1. Be kind. Cheers are preset, and there are no messages or chat.
  2. No offensive nicknames or club names. No hate, harassment, sexual content, threats, real names of other people, contact details, links or advertising. Names are checked by a word filter, and the team removes anything that gets through.
  3. No cheating. Shaking the phone, step machines, apps that fake steps or other tricks are against these rules. Steps from shaking never count on leaderboards or in challenges, and days with unusually high step counts are flagged. If you’re caught faking steps, your steps are removed and you’re permanently banned from leaderboards and challenges, and you can be removed from races and leagues.
  4. Don’t pretend to be someone else, including Accurate Step Counter with Cal staff.
  5. Walk safely. Look up while you walk, follow traffic rules and never take risks for steps.
  6. Keep it fair and free. Nothing is bet or staked in races, duels, challenges or games. Challenge badges are just for fun: they can’t be bought, sold or swapped, and there are no prizes.

Report and block

You can report or block anyone: tap their row on a leaderboard, in your friends list or in a club. Clubs can be reported too. Blocked people can’t see you or add you, and you won’t see them. Reports are reviewed by the Accurate Step Counter with Cal team.

What happens if rules are broken

Depending on how serious it is, we may rename or remove a nickname or club, remove steps from boards, or close an online account. You can ask about a decision at dealskhazanacontact@gmail.com.

What others can see

Only your nickname, avatar, country and, if you share steps, your daily step totals counted by your phone’s sensor. Steps from your watch or Health Connect never leave your phone. See the privacy policy for details.
